The Southern California Region of the Cadillac & LaSalle
was delighted to once again visit the beautiful Agua
Caliente Casino Resort for it's 2nd Annual Car Show &
Weekend Event.
The event began Friday evening with dinner and live
entertainment from America's beloved Regis Philbin.
Regis sang a few songs and entertained us with some
memorable stories from his past.
Rick
Gilbert, banquet manager for the Agua Caliente Casino,
provided us with orchestra seats for the perfect
location to enjoy the non-stop show of singing, dancing and many laughs.
On
Saturday over 35
Cadillac’s & LaSalle’s were present for the show. All were parked
in a covered, reserved section of the resort’s parking structure.
As the weather in Rancho Mirage was perfect, it's was
raining in other parts of Southern California so
several of our members and members of the Cadillac Kings
in Riverside were not able to attend. We hope to
see all of you next year.
There
was a surprise visit by the local Studebaker Club as
several members drove their old Studebaker's to our
show. We enjoyed all their vehicles as they
displayed them for all to see.

After the car show
and a short meeting of the Board of Directors, it was time for the
banquet & awards ceremony. Cocktail
hour began at six in one of Agua's private banquet rooms. Agua’s
banquet manager, Rick Gilbert, handled all the details
regarding drinks, dinner, & desert, and he did not disappoint as
Mr. Gilbert provided everyone with his rendition of "I am the
Chicken & this is how I was prepared."
