SoCal CLC
holds First Annual Dealer
Show at La
Quinta Cadillac
A sunny, warm October Sunday set the tone for the SoCal CLC’s First
Annual Dealer Show at La Quinta Cadillac. Twenty-five Cadillacs
(and one Full Classic Packard, which we all decided could be an
honorary Cadillac for the day) from all over Southern California
made the trip to the Coachella Valley to participate.
Whether you
were looking for the classic elegance of Fred Lax’s 1930 V16
convertible coupe, the Super Seventies brashness of John
Ruttenberg’s Cranberry Firemist over white 1974 Eldorado
Convertible, or the sleek modernity of Steven Saft’s 2011
CTS-V, there was something for everyone to appreciate. Attendees
were treated to lunch, music, and a commemorative shirt, courtesy of
Art Lambrose of La Quinta Cadillac. A portion of the proceeds of
this event went to support the Special Olympics.
Special thanks to Gary Friedman, who worked with the dealer
staff to bring this show together, to Betsy Davenport, whose
outreach to national CLC members in the Greater Palm Springs Area
was invaluable to boosting attendance, and to Art Lambrose and the
staff of La Quinta Cadillac, whose hospitality and generosity made
this event possible. Thank you also to all the Cadillac owners who
turned out to support this inaugural event. We look forward to
seeing even more Cadillac and LaSalle lovers in the desert sun next
year.
